Getting Warmer...

The weather has been so nice for the past few weeks. There have been some rainy days, but the sunny days have a way of erasing my memory of them.

I signed up for Instagram a while ago and have been using it to share more of our "everyday" photos. I've posted some of them below. If you are on Instagram, you can find me under stasiacooks.

Jasper found a tiny "Santa" on Aunt Molly's birdbath garden. When you're three, Santa is way cooler than a garden gnome.

We've had some outdoor fun.

The garden is sprouting and growing. Broccoli from the Master Gardener sale and a tiny dill plant Jasper planted as a seed.

Joe and the Avocado

I'm always playing catch up with the blog. Just after turning five months old, Joe had his first food. It was April 27th to be exact and the food was avocado. He seemed to go through a range of emotions, but I guess it's just how babies react to having texture in their mouths for the first time. Makes for some great photos.

I gave Joe his first bite and Jasper helped with the second bite. I love that Jasper wanted to be involved.

Joe was not shy with his reaction.

The bowl was fascinating.

As of today, he has had prunes, sweet potato, and rice cereal. He has also become more nonchalant with his facial expressions.

Someday he will have bacon.

Easter Recap

I thought I'd share some pictures from our Easter weekend. I took many pictures at home, but didn't get many at Pam and Gardner's later that day. Here's what I have.

Jasper's Birthday

Jasper turned three on the second. It was extra fun because my parents were in town and Jack's mom had the day off. We parked downtown and took the monorail to the Space Needle. Jasper loves to spot the Space Needle from the car every time we go downtown. This was a big surprise for him.

Daddy made Jasper a 3 pancake.

Jasper wanted to pay for his ticket, but he was free. He paid for Nana instead.

Joe turned Four Months Old...a Few Weeks Ago

I am running a bit behind. I took this picture about two weeks ago on the day Joe turned four months old, but I haven't gotten to posting it on the blog until today. Eek! I suppose it didn't help that we went to Joe's four-month pediatric appointment and Jasper's three-year appointment right after this photo was taken. Poor Joe had to have shots and Jasper had a blood draw that determined that he has mono. Luckily mono is much more mild in children then it is in adults. Still, it made for a dramatic day.
